141 Tara Lane, Franklin, NY 13775

Property Description

This is a seasonal camp with surprising amenities that could make it a lot more luxurious for its next owner. The approach is up a lovely hilltop country road, then a seasonal dirt road that winds into the woods. The property has a grassy driveway that leads to a 10X20 shed on an oversized concrete slab which has been used as a hunting cabin by the seller. There is a well, running water, electric, and even a full septic, but the bathroom was never installed. It's currently rough and ready, but the basic requirements for a much more comfortable getaway are already there. The only sounds are the breeze and birdsong, and the only sights are the trees and the wildlife that lives among them. If you are a hunter, this is plug and play. If your wish is a country retreat, a place where you can write, and think, and relax, this could become a vacation home to brag about. Just minutes to the villages of Franklin and Otego, and about 10 miles to Oneonta, yet a world away.
